Settings, progress and wrong-game checks

Protect your browser progress, check unexpected controls and distinguish Charcher’s PokéBonk from similarly named projects.

The quick answer

Start by recording the original game URL, version and symptom. Check the relevant setting and preserve local data before trying changes that could remove useful evidence or progress.

Progress looks missing: preserve the browser state

The original project notice describes browser-local storage. Do not begin by clearing cookies, site data or browser storage. Those actions can remove data instead of solving the issue. Keep the affected browser profile available while you record what changed.

Write down whether you were playing as Guest or with an account, which browser you used, the displayed version and what happened immediately before the problem. The v0.6.1 release history includes a Guest exit-and-return progress fix, so include the version when asking for help with that symptom.

If you changed browsers or browser profiles, check the original environment first. Keep the browser that held your progress available while asking for help; its local data may be important to understanding what happened.

Controls feel different: compare settings

Open Settings → Keys to inspect the assignment for the action that is behaving unexpectedly. Then check Settings → Controls for automatic or manual aiming, camera options and automatic Ultimate. A saved setting can explain a difference between your session and a tutorial.

Beta v0.6.2 adds mouse-button bindings and changes auto-run persistence and cancellation. Include the assigned button and the steps that trigger the behavior when describing an input problem. Changing several options together makes it harder to tell which one mattered.

A guide mentions different features: check the project

This site covers Charcher’s game at pokebonk.com. Touchzada also has a separately authored PokéBonk project linked from a PokéCommunity thread to pokebonk.solais.cloud. Its advertised roster, multiplayer features and evolution recipes should not be transferred to the original game.

The original menu has Clan and Leaderboard entries. The creator describes competition using members’ best games and individual rankings; that is not confirmation of a shared live cooperative session. Check the project identity before treating a multiplayer claim as a missing feature.

Make a report someone can act on

Use the community destination linked from the original project notice if you need project-specific help. Include a short symptom, reproducible steps, browser and device, game version, and Guest or account state. A screenshot can help show the affected menu, but remove private information first.

For map differences, remember the v0.6.0 explored-area change. For interruptions, distinguish retained gains from an exact run resume: the earlier v0.5.7 wording concerns earned gains after returning, and does not promise the same combat scene will reopen.
